The Scrambler 400 XC follows a familiar pattern set by Triumph’s larger Scramblers in offering a more off-road capable variant to the more road-focused base model. The Scrambler 400 XC adds wire-spoked wheels, tubeless tires, a high front fender, a flyscreen, and engine protection, making it a more rugged option over the 400 X.
The suspension system remains unchanged from the 400 X, featuring a 43mm inverted Big Piston fork and a preload-adjustable remote reservoir rear shock, along with 5.9 inches of travel on either end. The braking system is similarly configured, featuring a single four-piston radial-mount caliper and a 320mm disc up front, and a single-piston caliper with a 230mm disc at the rear. Anti-lock brakes are standard, and like the X model, the Scrambler 400 XC can also be disabled for off-road riding.
The engine remains unchanged, with the 398cc liquid-cooled DOHC single still producing 39.5 hp at 8,000 rpm and 27.7 lb-ft of torque at 6,500 rpm, as seen in the 400 X and Speed 400. The 400 XC offers more protection, with engine bars and an aluminum sump guard.
The 2026 Triumph Scrambler 400 XC will be available in three color options: Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White.
